The Zombie Wyvern is an undead variant of the Wyvern added in the ARK: Fear Evolved 2 event.
Basic Info
The Zombie Wyvern is a creature added in the Halloween update ARK: Fear Evolved 2. The Zombie Wyvern can be claimed after killing a Dodo Wyvern and can be ridden.
Behavior
The Zombie Wyvern will swarm players and use its devastating attacks.
Appearance
Zombie Wyverns look like the regular variants of wyvern, but have decaying flesh with more holes in the wings.
Color Scheme and Regions
This section displays the Zombie Wyvern's natural regions. For demonstration, the regions below are colored red over an albino Zombie Wyvern.
This information can be used to alter the Zombie Wyvern's regions by entering cheat SetTargetDinoColor <ColorRegion> <ColorID>
in the cheat console. For instance, cheat SetTargetDinoColor 0 6
would color the Zombie Wyvern's "main body" magenta.

- For an explanation of exactly how the levelup calculation works, see Creature Stats Calculation.
- 1These are the base speeds of the tamed creature at 100% Movement Speed, i.e. without a possible taming bonus.
- 2These are the speeds of the creature once tamed including a possible taming bonus and no imprinting bonus.
- For a comparison of the speeds of all creatures, see Base Creature Speeds.
Wild Stats Level-up
Type in values of a wild creature to see on which stats it's emphasized. Green values on a high-level creature are very good for breeding. If you have already tamed your creature you can try to recover the breeding stats with an external tool.[1]
The stat-calculator does not work in the mobile-view, see here for alternatives: Apps
Note that after the creature is tamed it gets bonuses on some stats depending on the taming effectiveness. This makes it hard to retrieve the levels on a tamed creature, so this tool is only for wild ones, but gives a first impression, how well the stats are distributed.
Taming
- Zombie Wyverns are a rare spawn in the locations Wyverns spawn on Scorched Earth, Ragnarok, Extinction and Valguero.
- Zombie Wyverns always spawn alongside the Dodo Wyvern, and may spawn at levels higher than the servers max wild dino level.
- When the Dodo Wyvern is defeated, all wild zombie wyverns on the map become claimable, regardless of whether or not they spawned alongside the Dodo Wyvern.
Notes/Trivia
- As Ragnarok and Crystal Isles were released as official mod maps after Fear Evolved 2, zombie variants of Ice Wyvern, Blood Crystal Wyvern, Ember Crystal Wyvern and Tropical Crystal Wyvern do not exist.
- Zombie Wyverns are faster and have a tighter turning radius (faster turning) than their normal Wyvern counterparts.
- Zombie Wyverns are 25% smaller than normal wyverns, slightly smaller than Crystal Wyverns.
- Zombie Wyverns have the same speed, turning radius and size, as Crystal Wyverns.
- Zombie Wyverns can pass through a Tek Dinosaur Gateway, while all other types of Wyverns, including Crystal Wyverns, cannot.
- With the release of Genesis: Part 1, Zombie Wyverns were removed from the game due to efforts to optimize the game. However, they returned to the game during the release of Crystal Isles. They however do not spawn with any random colors since.
- Zombie Wyverns have a bug that it will auto wander without it being turned on even when ridden. This can be fixed by turning on and of wandering option (it might take more than one time).
- Now can spawn with up to 2 random colors in random regions.
