The Chain Bola is a type of Ammunition in ARK: Survival Evolved. It is unlocked at Level 51 for 30 Engram Points.

Chain Bolas are used solely in the Ballista Turret as a way to trap creatures, with immobilized targets being rooted in place for about 15 seconds. But unlike the standard  Bola, the Chain Bola can ensnare much larger targets. However, survivors and most smaller creatures are unaffected by the Chain Bola.
