The Cluster Grenade is one of the Explosives in ARK: Survival Evolved, being introduced in the Scorched Earth expansion pack. It is unlocked at Level 80 for 8 Engram Points.

Instead of a singular explosion like other grenades, the Cluster Grenade explodes into 6 shards of explosive shrapnel after the initial blast, further increasing its area of effect. While this greatly increases its damage potential, it also increases the chance of friendly-fire incidents, meaning that one must be especially careful when using the Cluster Grenade near tribemates or friendly creatures.

Notes

• The Cluster Grenade's explosive shrapnel will always spread out perpendicular to the impact surface, so make sure all tribemates are out of explosion range before tossing one.
• If tossed directly up into the air, the cluster fragments that rain down will explode right before they hit the ground, which can be good for dealing good damage in a large radius of the player.
