The Smoke Grenade is one of the Explosives in ARK: Survival Evolved. It is unlocked at Level 24 for 18 Engram Points.

Instead of dealing damage, Smoke Grenades explode into a cloud of smoke that covers a wide area, obscuring anything inside of it. This makes them ideal for stealthy attacks or getaways, though the smoke only lasts for around 40 seconds. Additionally, Smoke Grenades do not prevent the user from being seen by wild creatures.

The Smoke Grenade is superseded by the  Poison Grenade.

• The Smoke Grenade is the first explosive players can unlock.
• Multiple Smoke Grenades can be thrown to create a more dense wall of smoke.
• The Smoke Grenade is the only explosive able to be crafted by hand.
• Smoke Grenades can be thrown into windows or over walls to distract other players.
• Smoke Grenades cover a radius of roughly 3 foundations.
