The Metal Sickle, often shortened to just the Sickle, is one of the Tools in ARK: Survival Evolved. It is unlocked at Level 30 for 12 Engram Points.
The Metal Sickle's main function is to harvest large amounts of Fiber from Plants, able to gather hundreds of it with only a few swings. It is also one of the best tools for harvesting large amounts of
Raw Prime Fish Meat, as it is able to scrape it off of a Leedsichthys without making it aggressive.
The Metal Sickle has 40 Durability.

Notes
- For survivors looking for an alternative to the Metal Sickle, a wandering tamed Gigantopithecus can be used to autonomously gather Fiber, and other creatures can manually harvest at greater efficiency than the Metal Sickle.
Quality
Items which use stats, namely Melee Damage, Durability, Armor, Hypothermic Insulation and Hyperthermic Insulation, have Item Quality, with higher quality items having better overall stats (though lower quality items may be randomly superior in an individual stat). Items with improved quality can be obtained from beacons, loot crates, and other forms of loot drops (such as from killing predators), while blueprints of higher quality items are obtainable only from beacons and loot crates. Items with higher quality can cost substantially more than primitive versions.
