Ingredients

The Electronic Binoculars are a tool in  ARK: Survival Evolved's Expansion Pack Genesis: Part 1, originally planned for Scorched Earth but scrapped in development. Blueprints can rarely be obtained from any  Lootcrate: they only ended up in Genesis: Part 1 due to oversight when the loot pools were being designed and as such were never actually finished nor polished.

Utility

The Binoculars serve the following roles (and can potentially replace items mentioned below):

  •  Compass: shows currently faced direction when used.
  •  GPS: shows the current player coordinates if not looking at the sky when used.
  •  Spyglass: You can adjust the zoom with the Middle up and down, the maximum zoom is the same as the Spyglass.
  •  Night Vision Goggles: should allow the user to see in the dark while under a blue hue, however this does not work. (Use Primary attack + Secondary Attack to toggle.)
  • It also measures the distance from the player to the point the reticle is centered on in meters.

Notes

  • Electronic Binoculars have a Tek Tier design, despite their name.
  • As evidenced by their Item ID, the Binoculars were originally a planned for Scorched Earth before being scrapped and debuted in Genesis: Part 1 before being removed.
  • Unlike the  Spyglass, the Binoculars cannot be used while riding a creature that doesn't permit rider weaponry.
  • When the Binoculars are selected, the crosshair is displayed and is not affected by the Allow Crosshair Setting, regardless of the option disabling it.
