The Wooden Club, often shortened to just the Club, is one of the Weapons in ARK: Survival Evolved. It is unlocked at Level 8 for 4 Engram Points.

The Wooden Club is primarily used to inflict Torpor, though its actual damage output is very low, making it highly effective at knocking out survivors and smaller creatures. It is also one of the best tools for harvesting  Organic Polymer, especially when used on dead  Kairuku.

The Wooden Club has 40 Durability.

The Wooden Club is superseded by the  Sword.

Notes

• It can be used to create an army of Dilos, as it will take only 1-5 swings to knock out lower level Dilos, and a few more swings for high level ones. Dilos can be tamed quickly and if upgraded a few levels in damage and health they can be very helpful to low level players.
• Wooden Clubs are unusual in the sense that they are one of the few beginner’s items that do not become obsolete as a player progresses. No matter what level the character, a club is a useful, effective tool.
• The  Candy Cane Club Skin is a skin for the Wooden Club. It is obtainable by obtaining the Lowest Depth Achievement.
• It is a highly feared weapon in PVP if the wielder has high Melee stats. Spending even a decent amount of points on Fortitude won't protect you from an enemy player who focuses solely on Melee stats. Victims are usually knocked out in a single hit.
• If you use a Bola on a target such as a Pteranodon, a club can be used to knock out the trapped creature.
• Unlike most of the weapons (755.3%), Club damage caps at 427.7%.

• When equipped to a  Mantis, the Wooden Club is arguably the most powerful Torpor-applying tool in the game; even with a primitive Wooden Club, a Mantis with decent melee can knock out large creatures such as Brontosaurus, Managarmr and even Wyverns; it is possible to two-hit KO a Level 20 Crystal Wyvern using a primitive Wooden Club.
• If used to hit a player, the Wooden Club always deals 5 damage and 18.8 Torpor per swing, no matter what armor the target is wearing or which body part you are hitting.
