The Riot Shield is one of the shields in ARK: Survival Evolved. It is unlocked at Level 92 for 45 Engram Points.

Nearly twice as strong as the  Metal Shield and almost 10 times as strong as the  Wooden Shield, the Riot Shield is one of the best choices when it comes to late-game protection. It also provides excellent visibility due to being mostly clear and only weighs two-thirds that of the Metal Shield. However, the Riot Shield is quite expensive to craft and repair.

The Riot Shield has 2,300 Durability.

The Riot Shield is superseded by the  Tek Shield.

Notes

• While still quite heavy, most players will have put many points into their Weight stat by the time the Riot Shield becomes unlockable, meaning that carrying it around shouldn't be too much of an issue.
• As of version 223.2, The Riot Shield does not take damage from  Grenades or  Rocket Propelled Grenades, the user still does though.
• The Riot Shield, despite its name, isn't part of the  Riot Armor set.
