The Catapult Turret, often shortened to the Catapult, is one of the Emplacements in ARK: Survival Evolved. It is unlocked at Level 31 for 25 Engram Points.

Compared to the  Ballista Turret, the Catapult Turret is more suited for an anti-structure role, lobbing  Boulders and  Jars of Pitch at enemies. Its arc of fire allows it to lob its shots over high walls to damage targets behind them, though it is far less effective in a direct-fire role than its counterpart. Additionally, the Catapult Turret is used for knocking out certain creatures for taming.

Notes

• The though the combined weight of the materials used to construct it is immense, the Catapult Turret is much lighter once assembled.
• The Boulders that the Catapult Turret fires can only be crafted within the emplacement itself.

• The Catapult Turret is treated as a stone structure and can only be damaged by:
