War Map

Overview
The War Map displays a larger version of the player's own map of the server currently being played.
It can be painted with a Paintbrush to mark specific locations. See Loading and Saving Custom Images for more information.
Construction
War Maps attach directly to the face of walls, but do not snap to any structures. Care must be taken during placement as the texture of the wall behind can protrude through the map itself.
Notes
- The War Map is treated as a thatch structure and can be damaged by anything except non-explosive ranged attacks.
Painting and Color Regions
The War Map does not currently have any preset paint regions.
Instead, you can still doodle on it by "attacking" it with a Paintbrush, which will open the "Apply Paint" Menu. Then, click and drag your cursor over the 3D model (like a paintbrush) to draw anything you want. See Painting for more information on doodling.
Loading and Saving Custom Images
To load Ark PNT files into a War Map, the file name must be suffixed with _Sign_WarMap_C.
. The resolution is 512x512, and the aspect ratio in-game is 1:1.
Unlike other objects that can take loaded images, when an image is loaded onto a War Map it will overlay the existing map, not completely replace it. The brightness of each of the loaded pixels corresponds to its transparency, that is, white pixels will be completely transparent, and black pixels will be completely opaque. Colored pixels will blend their color into the map pixels behind them. This means that you cannot use the War Map as a larger version of the Painting Canvas for displaying custom artwork.
Additionally, the map itself is portrayed using mild perspective, and is not the perfect square often found in online images, meaning that marking locations on it is best done in-game with a paintbrush, and the resulting image exported then edited for best results.
