The Stone Irrigation Pipe - Intake must be placed with the lower end inside water for it to make the water travel through the pipes.
It can be placed in any natural water source. Placement can sometimes stretch past the water itself and into the shore, especially on the beach.
Construction
In ARK: Survival Ascended it provides water in a range of 3000 Unreal Engine units (10 foundation units) and link up with Water Reservoirs (Stone or Metal) in a area of 10000 Unreal Engine units (~33 foundation units). Any water consumers checks an area of 3000 Unreal Engine units (10 foundation units) for a water source.
In ARK: Survival Evolved any pipes and taps connected to this structure will be treated as having an active, continuous water source.
The Stone Irrigation Pipe - Intake can be snapped to any Metal Irritation Pipe (Straight, Tap, Inclined, Vertical, Intersection) or Stone Irritation Pipe (Straight, Tap, Inclined, Vertical, Intersection).
