The Tek Dedicated Storage is a structure in the Tek Tier-building set, released as part of ARK: Homestead major patch.

Overview

It is a small-crated Tek-tier storage designed to store bulks of a single item. When an item type is assigned through depositing of the item inside, it will only accept that particular item, unless it is emptied, then cleared.

Perishable items and items with durability or multipliers cannot be stored in it.

Items will transfer directly into the storage if given the option to do so while in it menu. It can also be set to withdraw, which will automatically place a stack in the player's inventory given the weight limit permits it, as otherwise it will limit the withdrawn amount.

The storages snap to each other sideways and above.

Engram

The Engram is unlocked by defeating the  Dragon (Beta) on The Island, the  Manticore (Beta) on Scorched Earth,  Rockwell (Beta) on Aberration, the  Desert Titan on Extinction, the  Corrupted Master Controller (Gamma) on Genesis and the  Crystal Wyvern Queen (Beta) on Crystal Isles. Defeating the more difficult versions will also give the player the engram.

The engram must be unlocked in order to craft this item, but not to use it or equip it.

Notes

• Note that retrieving stored Artifacts while you already have it in your inventory will make the retrieved one disappear.
• It cannot be placed on a platform.
• Snapped storages don't require ground support nor foundation proximity.
• Using the inventory menu, you can retrieve the entire contents regardless of the weight limit by using the Transfer All button, though the  Maximum Inventory limit still applies.
• Dedicated Storage was originally part of Structures Plus. The vanilla version does not have features such as automatically depositing storable items with a single punch, that exist in said mod.
  • The modded variant can be found in this page.
  • Note that the vanilla Tek Dedicated Storage can be accessed through inventory, unlike the original.
• Currently, defeating the Dragon on Ragnarok, Valguero or The Center maps does not unlock this Tekgram.
• On official servers (as of 329.9), they have an auto-decay timer of 80 days, the longest of any structure in the game. Two or more dedicated storage units must be snapped together or it will have "fast decay" (12 hours).

Bugs

• You may run into a bug where you cannot store certain structures like the Reinforced Trapdoor in a Tek Dedicated Storage.
