The Tek Hoversail is a deployable vehicle introduced in Genesis: Part 2 and also available on Genesis: Part 1, Lost Island and Fjordur. It can be used to travel great distances in style. It is able to host two survivors, one that controls the vehicle and one that can use weapons from the front.
Only vehicle that can be picked up aside from the Canoe.
Like the Skiff, wild dinos are not agressive when you approach them while riding an Hoversail. This only works if the creature has not already aggroed on to the player and the effect does not persist if you anger the creature while on the hoversial.
You can remain on the hoversail while teleporting in the Genesis Simulation. This is a great asset on less powerful PCs and consoles because it creates a sort of spawn protection from creatures during long loads after teleporting.
The hoversail can be put on the hotbar for quick access in moments where you need to escape from danger.
If you deploy the hoversail while underwater it will quickly float you to the surface allowing you to escape undersea dangers quickly.
The hoversail can climb up steep mountains with great effectiveness.
You can safely hover over water and lava.
The hoversail can carry 1500 pounds.
The passenger, laying at the prow, can use a weapon.
The pilot can use a weapon, but at the first person view only.
While on the ground to jump, then press and hold SPACE again to hover The Hoversail must be moving forward while hovering in order to gain altitude The Hoversail can hover for a limited period of time(~8 seconds) before needing to land to recharge
While airborne, use in combination with the directional keys to do tricks. Performing tricks gives extra time for hovering and a speed boost upon landing.
