DLCs
Currently, there are 12 DLCs, for ARK: Survival Evolved. For more options to expand the playing experience, see Mods.
Expansion Pack
An Expansion Pack is a direct addition to the main game by adding new maps, creatures, equipment, and content without changing the core game-play mechanics.
Expansion Packs are also entirely compatible with the main game, and content can be transferred from an expansion to vanilla servers and vice versa.
ARK: Survival Ascended exclusive:
1 Scorched Earth, Aberration and Extinction are only available as part of ARK: Survival Evolved Season Pass and are not sold separately.
2 Genesis: Part 1 & Genesis: Part 2 are only available as part of the ARK: Genesis Season Pass and are not sold separately.
Expansion Map
An Expansion Map is a brand-new map for the user to explore and uncover its secrets.

Note:
- For console
Xbox, and
PlayStation, these expansion maps are included with the main game.
Total Conversion
A Total Conversion changes a majority of the game-play mechanics themselves and requires a user to learn a new way to play the game.
Content from a Total Conversion can not be transferred to a Vanilla server.
Adventure Pack
An Adventure Pack is an optionnal paid DLC for ARK: Survival Ascended only, that adds some exclusive content, such as Skins, Creatures and Structures.
Notes/Trivia
- Interestingly almost every expansion pack has 1 up'd itself adding in a new largest creature in the game with the
Alpha Deathworm surpassing the
Titanosaur,
Rockwell surpassing the
Alpha Deathworm, and the
King Titan surpassing
Rockwell.
- However,
Corrupted Master Controller is not as large as
King Titan following the release of Genesis: Part 1.
- Despite not appearing as big as
King Titan,
Rockwell Prime's insides have eroded into much of Genesis Ship in Genesis: Part 2, making it the largest in terms of map size influence within the entirety of expansion pack.
