The Amargasaurus, an aggressive sauropod covered with spikes on its back.
The Dinopithecus, a giant baboon with excellent climbing skills.
The Sinomacrops, a small winged reptile with gliding capabilities.
Lost Island also features a new unique Boss: the Dinopithecus King, a massive Dinopithecus that stands taller than even the likes of a Rex or Megapithecus.
Unique Environmental Features
A large, ruined castle within the Redwoods, surrounded by a lake
A multitude of wrecked ships throughout the ocean, and within a cave.
Lava rivers and lakes, similar to those on The Center and Genesis: Part 1, but with less damage to creatures that enter them.
Close to the Red Obelisk, a Wyvern Trench that contains many more nesting locations than the Scorched Earth,Ragnarok or Valguero trenches can be found, however the spread of Wyverns throughout the trench means that eggs may not always be found more frequently than the other maps.
An Ice Wyvern Trench containing nests which is found close to the Blue Obelisk.
Near the Wyvern trench there are Magmasaur Caves, in which eggs can often be found, guarded by Magmasaurs
Hot springs near the volcanic biome feature Geysers that launch survivors high into the sky
This is the first free DLC map to introduce three completely new creatures, as opposed to singular creatures, or variants of existing creatures (such as Wyverns).
This was the first map to have a contest on which creatures would be created for the map, with players selecting real life creatures and then voting on the suggestions. The voting began with Community Crunch 276 and ended on July 23rd, with both Dinopithecus and Carcharodontosaurus receiving almost equal votes, with the Dinopithecus winning by 1% against the Carcharodontosaurus.
This map is visually a replica of the Tamriel map from the famous Bethesda gaming franchise, The Elder Scrolls.
The map is 150 square kilometers in size.
Is not functional with Primitive +- multiple biomes spawn no creatures spawn at all, and the new exclusive creatures cannot spawn naturally, or even be spawned with admin commands.
Lost Island uses The Center spawn theme and rain sounds.
It also has a unique battle theme in the Desert, which is an old and previously unused battle theme from Ark's early access.
Lost Island is crawling with Stegosaurus, which can make starting out difficult, or can be used advantageously for dealing with predators- as long as the survivor is careful not to get caught in the fight.
Free DLC 'Lost Island' is now available! Introducing a new map with over 150 sq km playable area, and 3 new creatures; the Amargasaurus, Dinopithecus, and Sinomacrops!
