Temperament in ARK: Survival Evolved refers to how likely a creature is to be hostile.

The  Rare Flower and  Pheromone Dart can make non-aggressive creatures become aggressive.

Harmless

Cowardly

Cowardly creatures will never fight back, even when tamed, and will attempt to run when attacked.

Docile

Docile creatures will attack if provoked, otherwise they may ignore the player.

Elusive

Elusive Creatures are extremely rare and are prone to fleeing.

Evasive

Evasive creatures will attempt to avoid danger and flee or fight when attacked..

Fearful

Fearful creatures will never fight back, and when a  Human enters the area, they will attempt to flee.

Languorous

Exclusive to  Beelzebufos, they act similar to docile creatures, though behave in a much more relaxed, serene manner whenever wandering.

Loyal

In the wild, Loyal creatures may behave like Skittish or Defensive creatures, but once tamed, they become close, valuable companions.

Naive

Currently Exclusive to Diplodocus. Naive creatures will attempt to make friendship and play with the creature attacking them.

Oblivious

Exclusive to  Dodo. They will ignore any sign of danger unless attacked, in which they will flee and not fight back.

Passive

Passive creatures do not fight back and will start to flee once attacked.

Skittish

Skittish creatures will either flee, panic, or do nothing when attacked.

Stupid

The only creature with the temperament "Stupid" is the  Ovis. They'll try to flee if attacked, but because of their stupidity, they'll run into the attacking creature.

Semi-Harmless

Curious

Curious creatures are friendly. They will approach the player, but not attack them. In the case of  Compy, however, once two or more approach the player, they will become hostile and attack.

Defensive

Defensive creatures will not attack you, but if you attack them they will defend themselves. In the case of  Leedsichthys, they will attack any raft in the open water.

Flippant

Flippant creatures will attack in a frivolous manner when provoked.

Friendly

Friendly creatures will act in a similar manner to Docile creatures, however, if provoked, they may either fight or flee depending on the creature.

Neutral

Neutral creatures attack when provoked. They will forget you after a long time. In the case of  Megatherium, once it kills an insect, they will become aggressive. With  Vultures, they will become aggressive if you are near a corpse.

Reactive

Reactive creatures will watch what you do, but if you do something they don’t like, they might fight back or flee.  Coelacanth and the  Procoptodon will never fight back.

Dangerous

Aggressive

Aggressive creatures will attack you on sight. In the case of the  Pegomastax they start to flee after stealing an item.

Nocturnally Aggressive

Some of these creatures usually sleep during daytime hours, posing little to no threat (unless woken up by touching/approaching it closely.) During the day, it is considerably weak and slow, whereas at night they are augmented and dangerous predators, sporting ominous, glowing eyes.

Opportunistic

Opportunistic creatures prey on weak creatures.

Patient

Patient creatures wait for the right time to jump at the player.

Short-Tempered

Creatures that are short-tempered will attack the player after a few seconds.

Territorial

Territorial creatures stay nearby a certain location and will attack if you enter their area.

Angry

Attacks anything and everything with no mercy.

Extremely Territorial

Extremely Territorial creatures stay nearby a certain location and will Aggressively attack if you enter their area. Their territory in question is generally larger than regular territorial creatures.

Highly Aggressive

Exclusive to all  Corrupted Creatures,  Enraged Creatures,  Malfunctioned Tek Creatures and  Titans, regardless of their previous temperament, they ravage everything that stands in their path. This includes any structures that are near them.
