The Bow is one of the Weapons in ARK: Survival Evovled. It is unlocked at Level 10 for 11 Engram Points.

The Bow is a decent ranged weapon able to fire  Stone and  Flame Arrows at a good rate. It is also able to fire  Tranq Arrows, making it a tool for combat as well as taming. The Bow is also able to be charged, increasing the speed and damage of its arrows.

The Bow has 50 Durability, costing 1 durability per use, for a total of 50 uses.

The Bow is superseded by the  Crossbow.

Notes

• To load the Bow, just drag & drop arrows on the Bow in the Inventory.
• Many creatures will take increased damage if you shoot them in the head. Torpor gain from Tranq Arrows scales with this boost.
• Unlike the Crossbow, the Bow is incapable of firing underwater. You can stand above the water and fire into it, but the arrow won't go very far.
• Arrows fired from the Bow can usually be recovered by walking over the area of impact. However, they will be recovered as Stone Arrows, regardless of which type of arrow was fired. The arrows will sometimes break on impact or despawn before you can get to them, so they are not always recoverable.
• It is possible to cancel a shot by performing a weapon melee attack. (Default Left CTRL)
• When using the Bow to knock out a creature you intend to tame, it is recommended to bring a spare Bow or the necessary resources to repair the one you have, as larger creatures will sometimes take more arrows than your Bow can fire.

Trivia

• The item description says, "Masters of the Bow often become great conquerors." This may be a reference to the Mongols under Genghis Khan, the great conqueror who captured much of Asia. Plus it’s a Mongolian style bow.
