Overview

The Obsidian Arrow is an Arrow in the Primitive+-DLC of ARK: Survival Evolved and can be used as ammunition for the Bow, Longbow, Crossbow, and Recurve Bow. Longbows are the most efficient weapons for using Obsidian Arrows. With Obsidian Arrows they deal even more damage than a Recurve Bow, while the Recurve Bow does more damage with other ammunition.

Usage

Obsidian Arrows deal a lot of damage when fired from bows, but are quite ineffective when fired from a Crossbow. When fired from bows, the damage caused is much higher than that of a Stone Arrow. Crossbows deal even less damage with Obsidian Arrows than with Stone Arrows. Therefore it is not recommended to use Obsidian Arrows with Crossbows. The damage of Crossbows is equal to the damage of simple Bows when firing Obsidian Arrows, while Crossbows do +72% damage with Stone Arrows.

Notes

• A Crossbow deals 75 damage when using Obsidian Arrow while it deals 95 damage with Stone Arrows ( 22th March 2020). This means, Obsidian Arrows deal the same damage when fired from a Crossbow as when fired from a Bow.
• It seems like Obsidian Arrows fly faster than Stone Arrows. Their speed is similar to that of a Tranq Arrow or a Feathered Stone Arrow.
