The Compass is one of the Tools in ARK: Survival Evolved. It is unlocked at Level 8 for 5 Engram Points.

The Compass is used to determine which direction the user is travelling in. It is a helpful tool for navigation, though the user will also have to pay attention to their map to make sure they don't get lost.

The Compass is superseded by the  GPS.

Notes

• The blue arrow on the Compass will always point north.
• With Patch 278, the Compass is practically redundant with the "Show Player Map Location" setting enabled, as the map's player icon is now an arrow, showing your pointed direction.
