Combat

This section describes how to fight against Beyla.

General

Strategy

Recommended Tames

  •  Megatherium will be useful due to their relatively decent stats and bug killing boost for when they kill her Minions.
  •  Shadowmanes can be effective against the boss due to their strong stats, natural armor and various mate dependent abilities.
  • Having a  Yutyrannus as always is useful in any Boss Fight as it can boost your other tames to increase their damage (likely would work very well mixed with the Megatherium for this fight).
  • Alternatively due to being a World Boss the  Carcharodontosaurus can be a powerful alternative to the Yutyrannus for its stronger stats, frenzy and knockback tail attack.
  • If players are willing to micromanage their food some  Daeodon can be useful to heal your tames.
  •  Rex Rushing is always an effective boss running method.
  • Although the cave looks like being too small for a  Giganotosaurus, you can completly traverse the cave from the outside up to the summoning terminal and fight  Beyla.

Dangers

Due to being a open world boss there can likely be outside interference from creatures around and inside the cave that can weaken the player before they even get to the boss terminal.  Beyla attacks with a poison projectile from time to time. A  Gas Mask or  Medical Brews can be beneficial.

Weakness

She has the lowest Health of the 3 Mini-Boss Fights, so with sufficient damage, she should be defeated quickly. She also doesn't have any Difficulty Variations, unlike standard Bosses.

Notes/Trivia

  • Beyla is one of the 3 Mini Boss Battles on Fjordur, the other 2 being  Hati and Sköll and  Steinbjörn.
  • Beyla is the only Mini Boss that wasn't on the original Mod Map, instead it replaced Itsy & Bitsy which were a pair of small Broodmothers in the original mod
  • Despite the table being named herbivore Saddles in the dev kit it contiains saddles for both the omnivourous Dire bear and piscivorous Basilosaurus
  • The phiomia saddle appears twice in the herbivore saddles table making it twice as likely to drop as any other herbivore saddle

Changelog

Patch  ASE Changes
346.14 Added Element reward to mini-bosses on Fjordur.
