Color Scheme and Regions

This section displays the Brute X-Mosasaurus's natural colors and regions. For demonstration, the regions below are colored red over an albino Brute X-Mosasaurus. The colored squares shown underneath each region's description are the colors that the Brute X-Mosasaurus will randomly spawn with to provide an overall range of its natural color scheme. Hover your cursor over a color to display its name and ID.

This information can be used to alter the Brute X-Mosasaurus's regions by entering cheat SetTargetDinoColor <ColorRegion> <ColorID> in the cheat console. For instance, cheat SetTargetDinoColor 0 6 would color the Brute X-Mosasaurus's "main body" magenta.

  • For a comparison of the stats of all creatures, see Base Creature Statistics.
  • For an explanation of exactly how the levelup calculation works, see Creature Stats Calculation.
  • 1These are the base speeds of the tamed creature at 100% Movement Speed, i.e. without a possible taming bonus.
  • 2These are the speeds of the creature once tamed including a possible taming bonus and no imprinting bonus.

Wild Stats Level-up

Type in values of a wild creature to see on which stats it's emphasized. Green values on a high-level creature are very good for breeding. If you have already tamed your creature you can try to recover the breeding stats with an external tool.[1]

Brute X-Mosasaurus

The stat-calculator does not work in the mobile-view, see here for alternatives: Apps

Note that after the creature is tamed it gets bonuses on some stats depending on the taming effectiveness. This makes it hard to retrieve the levels on a tamed creature, so this tool is only for wild ones, but gives a first impression, how well the stats are distributed.

Combat

This section describes how to fight against the Brute X-Mosasaurus.

General

The Brute X-Mosasaurus is encountered in the mission "The Mosa Proposal" in the Ocean biome. It is basically a larger X-Mosasaurus with no behavioral changes. In the last phase of the fight it is escorted by two Liopleurodons.

The Brute X-Mosasaurus has a lot of health and deals lot of damage in a respectable AoE, making this a fairly difficult hunt. As long as your creature power is superior, however, you will have the upper hand as this is a straightforward hunt. (Health numbers TBA.)

Strategy

As with any of the Ocean biome hunts, a group of tames is the best option. There's no special strategy as this is basically a show of strength with the stronger side being victorious.

Megalodons (9 or more) can handle this hunt well by virtue of their pack bonus increasing their damage and resistance, and the bleed they apply is almost essential for the alpha difficulty.

Apex creatures such as the Mosasaurus, Plesiosaur, and Tusoteuthis are excellent options as well.

Weaponry

Stick with the tames mentioned above; attempting this without tames is just a quick way to get yourself killed.

Dangers

The Brute X-Mosasaurus can move quickly, deals high damage, and possesses a large health pool, making it difficult to overpower.

Weakness

The assisting Liopleurodons are not much of a threat. It also has a large turning radius so it may be possible to outmaneuver and damage it some without getting counterattacked.

Notes/Trivia

This mission is notorious for rewarding Tek Gauntlets with quality improving at higher difficulties. This may make the mission worth repeating multiple times.
