The Ankylo Egg is one of the Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved.

Overview

Ankylo Eggs are randomly dropped by  Ankylo. They can be eaten or used to make  Regular Kibble for taming  Anglerfish,  Ankylosaurus,  Baryonyx,  Beelzebufo,  Carbonemys,  Carnotaurus,  Dimetrodon,  Diplodocus,  Doedicurus,  Gigantopithecus,  Ichthyornis,  Kaprosuchus,  Kentrosaurus,  Lymantria,  Pelagornis,  Pteranodon,  Pulmonoscorpius,  Purlovia,  Sabertooth,  Sarco,  Stegosaurus,  Terror Bird,  Thorny Dragon and  Velonasaur specifically, or anything that eats  Basic Kibble or  Simple Kibble.

After two  Ankylo mate, the resulting egg can be hatched into a baby  Ankylo.

Grabbing an egg in the presence of wild  Ankylo will cause them to become hostile and attack the survivor.

Incubation

The Ankylo Egg takes 2h 37m 52.927s to hatch. It must be in the temperature range of 16 to 20 °C / 61 to 68 °F to successfully hatch, otherwise it will start to lose  Health. The female  Ankylo needs between 18h and 2d before having the capacity to lay eggs again. The incubation time can be reduced by up to 20% if the egg is placed in an  Egg Incubator at the ideal temperature.

Collecting

Ankylo eggs can be collected from wild ankylos or from tamed ones.

Stealing an egg from a a wild ankylo will cause her to chase you relentlessly.

By taming a female, you can collect her eggs without her becoming aggressive. She will lay them more often if you have a male Ankylo for the Mate Boost and an Oviraptor near by.
