The Argentavis Egg is one of the Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved.

Overview

Argentavis Eggs are randomly dropped by  Argentavis. They can be eaten or used to make  Superior Kibble for taming  Allosaurus,  Argentavis,  Castoroides, ,  Daeodon,  Dire Bear,  Direwolf,  Dunkleosteus,  Gasbags,  Mammoth,  Megalodon,  Megalosaurus,  Megatherium,  Paraceratherium,  Plesiosaur,  Snow Owl,  Tapejara, and  Woolly Rhino.

After two  Argentavis mate, the resulting egg can be hatched into a baby  Argentavis.

Grabbing an egg in the presence of wild  Argentavis will cause them to become hostile and attack the survivor.

Incubation

Disambig.png Main article: Incubation

The Argentavis Egg takes 2h 56m 27.389s to hatch. It must be in the temperature range of 12 to 13.5 °C / 54 to 56 °F to successfully hatch, otherwise it will start to lose  Health. The female  Argentavis needs between 18h and 2d before having the capacity to lay eggs again. The incubation time can be reduced by up to 20% if the egg is placed in an  Egg Incubator at the ideal temperature.

Collecting

Can either be collected from wild Argentavis or from tamed ones.

Stealing an egg from a wild mother will cause her to chase you relentlessly.

By taming a female, you can collect her eggs without her becoming aggressive. She will lay them more often if you have a male Argentavis for the Mate Boost and an Oviraptor near by.
