The Coral Fence Support can be used for building walls around an area, such as for a pen to keep your dinos in. Unlike Fence Foundations, Fence Supports will not follow ground, meaning that structures can be built at level heights.

Fence Supports can be placed directly on the ground and snap to foundations and other fence supports. They can be snap placed at 45 degree angles.

Only walls, fences, and wall-like structures can be built on the fence support (i.e. you cannot put a ceiling on your fence walls).

Notes

  • If a foundation is destroyed, any building pieces that rely on it for support will be destroyed as well. If it was destroyed via the demolish option, no resources will be refunded for these extra building pieces.
  • Coral structures have half the durability as their  Wooden Counterparts, but take significantly less damage from all sources.
  • Due to coral structures only having one color region, hitting them with a paintbrush will not pull up a menu, but instead simply paint the fence foundation with whatever color is currently being used on the brush.
  • Like all coral structures the fence foundation slowly heals over time at a rate of 1 point every 10 seconds.

The Sloped Coral Wall Left provides structure to a building and encloses an area. It is designed to be used with the  Sloped Stone Roof.

Construction

A Sloped Stone Wall Left can be placed on any  Foundation,  Fence Foundation,  Ceiling (with the exception of the  Thatch Roof), or another wall.
A wall also provides support to allow a structure built on top of it to extend up to 2 ceilings in any direction on the x and y-axis, and up to 1 ceiling diagonally from a wall which is directly above a foundation.

Notes

  • If a wall is destroyed, any building pieces that rely on it for support will be destroyed as well. If it was destroyed via the demolish option, no resources will be refunded for these extra building pieces.
  • Stone structures have half the durability as their  Wooden counterparts, but take significantly less damage from all sources.

The Coral Spike Wall is a structure in Oceania that can be used to defend against melee attacks by Humans or Creatures. It deals damage to any survivor or creature (tamed or wild) touching it, and also when damaged by weapons or creatures.

Notes

  • It cannot be placed on Platform Saddles.
  • The upgraded version is the  Metal Spike Wall.
  • The spikewall heals over time and provides oxygen like other coral structures
  • The Oceania/Coral Structure Set is treated as a wooden structure and can not be damaged by hands, stone weapons, or non-explosive ranged attacks.
  • The following aggressive creatures can not damage the Oceania/Coral Structure Set:

The Coral Roof Flat is a specialized ceiling in the coral structure set. This ceiling provides protection from the elements, giving bonuses to hypo and hyperthermic insulation.

Construction

A Coral Roof requires placement on a  Wall,  Pillar,  Foundation, or another ceiling.
Once the first Coral Roof is placed, subsequent Coral Roofs can snap into place along the first one, allowing them to line up, provided that there is adequate room to do so.
A ceiling requires support from a nearby foundation or pillar in order to be placed. The ceiling can only be placed up to 2 ceilings away in any direction on the x or y-axis, and up to 1 ceiling away diagonally from a wall or another ceiling that is directly above a connected foundation or pillar. The ceilings on the far ends of this setup will not be able to support walls.

Notes

  • If a ceiling is destroyed, any building pieces that rely on it for support will be destroyed as well. If it was destroyed via the demolish option, no resources will be refunded for these extra building pieces.
  • Currently, you should not keep your creatures on ceilings. A bug can cause some of them to occasionally fall through the structure, forcing you to destroy part of the building in order to get them out.

Only the flat edges of the Roof Corner can be snapped to and from, not the sloped edges, meaning the roof must be supported from below

The Coral Structure set is a strong air-giving building tier in Oceania.

Crafting

The Structures are primarily made of Coral, which can be temporarily obtained by harvesting rocks with certain Oceania creatures. Eventually, Coral will be obtainable via specific corals found on the Oceania map, or by growing coral in crop plots. Coral structures are craftable within the players inventory.

Usage

Coral structures' main use is to build underwater bases and builds, but can be placed on land too.

Coral structures have the same resistance as  Stone Structures but have half the health, and are easier to make at lower levels, along with the engram being unlocked much sooner and much cheaper, making them a good choice for making traps and bases early game.

The coral set also has special roof pieces that can be used to make all the different kinds of peaks and ridges you want on your build.

Coral structures slowly heal over time.

Most coral structures grant the  Coral Air buff while nearby them that gives  Stamina and  Oxygen while nearby, enabling players to stay underwater near coral structures to prevent drowning.

A coral structure could be placed next to a knocked-out creature that is drowning to save it.

Due to the  Coral Air buff also granting  Stamina, it could be a good choice for a rest station, enabling creatures with low stamina, or high stamina drain on certain attacks, such as attacks that continually use stamina, to counter their drain. This setup can be improved with a  Mammoth.

The following coral structures provide the  Coral Air buff when nearby:

These coral structures do not give the buff, but still do heal over time and appear in random colors.

When placed, coral structures have a random color:

  • Red
  • Orange
  • Yellow
  • Green
  • Cyan
  • Blue
  • Purple

Because of corals' vibrant colors, it can be used to make your base stand out decoratively. If you are unhappy with the color, you can pick it up and place it back down to reroll the color, without using any  Dyes.

Notes

  • Unlike other structures, coral structures will instantly paint when hit with a  Paintbrush with the color applied to the brush, and will not open a menu, as they only has one color region
  • The coral air buff is not given by walls, only structures you can stand on, such as foundations, ceilings, and stairs
  • The  Coral Air buff lasts for up to four seconds after leaving the radius where the buff activates
  • Most coral structures will grant the buff up to two walls above, an half a foundation to the side
    • Some such as the Coral Staircase have a larger range.
  • Air giving coral structures have a visual bubbles particle effect when underwater
    • This effect is visible above water when placing the structure, as the green preview material will show many green squares floating through the air
  • Air giving shoulder pets with the oxygen effect will replenish their air supply
  • Coral structures heal at a rate of one health point every 10 seconds, meaning it can take many hours for structures on low health to heal by themselves
  • Each coral structure is unlocked at level 10 for 1 engram point
    • Coral Foundations, Walls, Ceilings, Stairs, Doorways, and Doors used to be mistakenly unlocked at level 20

Can damage Coral
