The Brachyura is an tanky aquatic creature in Oceania. While not currently available, this creature will be added in a future update.
Basic Info
Dossier
Behavior
In daytime Brachyura burrows itself in the ground, and leaps out to attack nearby creatures and players. If a creature it wants to attack is nearby it will tempt it to draw it within striking range. At night it will unbury itself and wander around, attacking anything that comes close to it. It does not stay aggrod for long, and will lose interest if it cant quickly catch its prey.
When tamed, Brachyura can be set to bury or unbury.

Combat
This section describes how to fight against the Brachyura.
General
Brachyura is often found lurking under the sand, or wandering, and will only attack close creatures. Keep distance to prevent it attacking.
Strategy
Brachyura is rather strong, so it is best to not brawl with it, and fighting them during night if far easier, because they don't bury themselves and need to be re-aggroed.
Weaponry
Ranged Weapons are best so it isn't able to harm you. Artillery and explosives are particularly effective against Brachyura, so use when possible.
Dangers
Brachyura has a high damage output, and its initial exit from the ground can damage things. Beware when killing the Brachyura as at low heath it becomes enraged and has much more dangerous attacks. The crab also has a large radius for its attacks, and can damage far in front of and ahead of itself.
Weakness
Brachyura is unable to swim, and when in water, you can use ranged attacks from above to kill it. Beware, as its slam attack has a significantly larger effect zone than its other attacks, and could hit you even if you think your safe.

Brachyura also has some special conditional attacks. When dashing with the water dash, or with the charged snap, and then hitting the ground it uses a powerful slam attack. If being used by AI it can do a basic slam attack. If buried while enraged, it will do a special enraged unbury attack. If Used by AI and enraged, Brach gains the ability to throw rocks at enemies.
If hit while charging a snap attack it will cancel the charge.
Roles
Soaker: Brachyura has high health, damage-reducing burrow ability, a metal saddle that has high armor, and takes less damage to its shell, making it useful for tanking bullets. Do not try to use Brachyura to soak damage from siege weapons such as Ballista Turret as Brachyura is incredibly weak to them.
