Tasty Tuber
This root vegetable seems to thrive in semi-aquatic and terrestrial environments, not underwater. As such, it can be found commonly in the swamps.

in the mod Oceania. It is harvested from a plant or grown from a Mod:Oceania/Tasty Tuber Bud in any Crop Plot. While not currently available, this consumable will be added in a future update.
When eaten by a survivor, Tasty Tubers will replenish 5 units of 
Food and 3 units of 
Water. When eaten by a tamed dino or while taming, it gives 30 Food units.
This item expires very slowly once removed from the crop plot, which can be useful for keeping dinos feed for a long time via Feeding Trough. Additional Tasty Tubers stack to 500 and are fairly lightweight, allowing you to carry lots of food for your dino.
You can find Tasty Tuber plants and seeds in the warm climate swamps and islands in the Refugee Islands. They are a great source of early-game food.

Usage
The Tasty Tuber is needed for different cooking Recipes.
Taming
Like Mejoberries, Tasty Tubers are the most effective "berries" for taming herbivores. They are also the favorite food of 
Gigantopithecus, 
Mesopithecus and 
Pegomastax.
