Floating platforms are structures added in Fixed Extinction. They are platforms looking exactly like Derelict Defense System with different sizes.

Crafting

Floating platforms need to be crafted in File:Mod Fixed Extinction Fixed Extinction Bench.png Fixed Extinction Bench (Mod:Fixed Extinction) for a considerable amount of resources.

Usage

Floating Platforms work similarly to structures like a  Foundation - the player places them in front of their character and can't do that in the air. Platforms will spawn at a fixed height above the point they were placed on.

You can't place normal foundations on any of the platforms, rendering structures like  Tek Bridge, ceilings and walls off limits. You can still place pillars, fence foundations and utility structures such as  Smithy,  Vault or turrets on those platforms.

Notes/Trivia

  • Small Floating Platform has a working surface of roughly 6  Tek Fence Foundations in diameter, Medium one has 11 and Large one has about 15.5. Mind the cut-in in front of the platform.
