The Fire Titan is one of the new creatures and bosses in Fixed Extinction.

Basic info

Behavior

Fire Titan doesn't spawn naturally, instead needing a special item to summon -  Kaiser's Flame (Mod:Fixed Extinction). A wild Titan will fight with stomps, bites, fireballs and summon minions. It attacks not only the player, but other creatures as well, making exceptions only for the corrupted and strong creatures like  Rex or  Giganotosaurus.

Appearance

Fire Titan sports a near identical look to mod's File:Mod Fixed Extinction Theo Tyrannus.png Theo Tyrannus (Mod:Fixed Extinction), using the same model with some texture and color region alterations. It has the same thick armor on it's skull, chest, legs, back, tail, as well as additional spikes on shoulders, forearms, thighs, the top of the head and tip of the tail. It's size is similar to vanilla  Titans.

Color Scheme and Regions

The Fire Titan's range of its natural color scheme is unknown at this time, however its color regions are available. For demonstration, the regions below are colored red over an albino Fire Titan.

This information can be used to alter the Fire Titan's regions by entering cheat SetTargetDinoColor <ColorRegion> <ColorID> in the cheat console. For instance, cheat SetTargetDinoColor 1 6 would color the Fire Titan's "" magenta.

Base Stats and Growth

Minions

Fire Titan has the ability to summon minions under the Q. It will always spawn 10 random units, all level 100, from those listed below. Minions can have genders and so can receive mate boost and their inventory can't be accessed without cheats.

Abilities

Left - Bites target standing in front of it, deals 2750 base damage.

Right - Stomp attack, stomps two times, dealing 1600 base damage per stomp.

C - Swipes its tail, deals 3500 base damage.

X - Punches the ground, attack is AOE and covers a big distance around the Titan, deals 6500 base damage.

Left Ctrl - Shoots out six fireballs, that deal 900 base damage each.

Right Ctrl - Tail Slam, does miniscule damage, spawns varying amount of fireballs, that inflict Enflamed debuff.

Q - Spawns minions.

Combat

General

Despite having "titan" in the name, this creature behaves very differently to the vanilla  Titans, being much faster while both moving and attacking. Fire Titan can spot the player from nearly the same distance that he needs to load in, quickly close the distance and then kill them and their tame, so unless one wishes to battle the kaiju with suitable tames, they should run away as fast as possible.

Strategy

Fire Titan, despite dealing less damage per attack than vanilla  Titans, attacks much faster, dealing the most overall damage. Trying to take care of one with basic  MEK is a suicide mission, as getting the required distance and dodging attacks isn't as easy. The best way to defeat it would be to prepare for it the same way it's advised for  King Titan - super-bred  Giganotosaurus,  Carcharodontosaurus or even taming at least one vanilla  Titan beforehand.

Weaponry

The player can try to stay out of Titan's range and try hitting it with high-quality ranged weaponry, preferably a  Tek Rifle or  M.S.C.M., mind its fireball attack when using this strategy.

Dangers

Fire Titan can dish out huge amounts of damage with its ground punching, bites and tail swipes to the creatures trying to bite his legs and additionally catch Titans and other giant tames in range of fireball attack.

The player should never underestimate this beast and risk going underprepared for the fight.

Weakness

The titan, despite its size, can't destory foliage while walking and can get stuck on trees. This can be used in order to escape or get an advantage in fight.

Some attacks, namely tail swipe and fireballs, have high probability to miss every creature smaller than a  Titan.

The titan always spawns and stays at level 1, which means it can't get any stronger, when spawned in or tamed.

Taming

Taming this one, as well as all other titans of Fixed Extinction is much different from taming a vanilla titan.

In order to claim a Fire Titan, player must defeat one first. After killing the Kaiju,  True Kaiser's Flame (Mod:Fixed Extinction) will spawn in its inventory. This item can be used to summon a tamed version of Fire Titan. Unlike vanilla  Titans, Multiple wild and tamed Fire Titans can exist at once.

Utility

Roles

  • King Titan fighter: Fire Titan has stats similar to Ice Titan. This, paired with the fact, that you can obtain multiple of them, makes it worth to consider bringing multiple Fire Titans to fight.
  • World boss and miniboss fighter: Fixed Extinction introduces many new threats, that require much resources and power to defeat. Where Fire Titan can't defeat something, it still can make for a powerful support. Kaiser's Flame can be transferred, which means the Titan can be used to take down powerful open world creatures on other maps, like  Hati and Sköll on Fjordur
  • War mount - Fire Titan can be used to wreak havoc and easily destroy your enemies. Summoning creatures out of thin air, it can help with overwhelming or at least distracting enemy base defense or raiding units.
  • Transport - Fire Titan, while can get stuck, is pretty fast and more maneuverable than other  Titans, which means his  Weight can be often put to good use when changing base location or bringing back the OSD loot. Make sure to not get spotted!

Notes/Trivia

  • When near a Fire Titan, a remixed version of Extinction's title screen theme will play.
    • This music will persist if the Titan was tamed with givetome command.
  • Fire Titan itself can't be transfered, this, however, can be bypassed by transferring  True Kaiser's Flame (Mod:Fixed Extinction).
