Basin Mek is a new type of Mek added in Fixed Extinction.
Basic info
Behavior
Basin Mek doesn't spawn naturally and needs to be summoned with File:Mod Fixed Extinction Unassembled Basin Mek.png Unassembled Basin Mek . As normal Mek, it doesn't have an AI and doesn't move.
Appearance
Basin Mek uses Mega Mek's model with a symbol on its back, constructed using Tek Jump Pad along with Scorched Sword Skin and another sword, both pointed upwards. It wields hammer instead of a sword.
Color Scheme and Regions
The Basin Mek's range of its natural color scheme is unknown at this time, however its color regions are available. For demonstration, the regions below are colored red over an albino Basin Mek.
This information can be used to alter the Basin Mek's regions by entering cheat SetTargetDinoColor <ColorRegion> <ColorID>
in the cheat console. For instance, cheat SetTargetDinoColor 1 6
would color the Basin Mek's "" magenta.

Combat
General
As Basin Mek has to be piloted by a player to pose a threat, its movement is unpredictable and it's hard to come up with a strategy.
Strategy
One way to take care of the Basin Mek is to outmaneuver it. You can use a Managarmr or import an Astrodelphis and do the hit-and-run strategy.
It can be fought head-on with mod's titans, late game creatures likes of Giganotosaurus, bred Rexes or the File:Mod Fixed Extinction Nileodon.png Nileodon . While Basin Mek is durable, it's certainly not invincible, all you need is a bunch of powerful tames.
Weaponry
In case something went wrong, you should have a Tek Chestpiece to easily escape.
Dangers
Basin Mek, while not being able to surpass level 1 in any way, has very good stats and most creatures won't be able to take it down alone.
Weakness
Basin Mek has poor turning radius and can be outmaneuvered by fast and mobile tames and some even survivors in some cases.
Taming
Basin Mek can be tamed by using the File:Mod Fixed Extinction Unassembled Basin Mek.png Unassembled Basin Mek . It always spawns at level 1.
Utility
Roles
- Shadow Titan Fighter: According to ingame description of the unassembled version, Basin Mek's purpose is to fight the File:Mod Fixed Extinction Shadow Titan.png Shadow Titan . It is recommended to use a big arena, given Mek's poor turning capabilities.
- Support: Mek's ability to infinitely silence creatures and large health pool that regenerates by itself without consuming any food or fuel can come in handy in PVP or simply when dealing with creatures that have powerful abilities.

Notes/Trivia
- When interacting with corpses, Basin Mek can jump higher than normal by itself.
- Wild Basin Mek's levels can go only to Health, Stamina, Weight, Melee Damage or Movement Speed.
