Naga is a new mini-boss added in Fixed Extinction.
Basic info
Behavior
Naga appears in Crater Forest in scarce numbers. It has a big aggro range and will attack using its poisonous bites and projectiles.
Appearance
Naga uses the same model as File:Mod Fixed Extinction Forest Cobra.png Forest Cobra but it is bigger, its eyes are glowing and green instead of yellow. Naga's model also seems to be brighter to help player spot and avoid them easier.
Color Scheme and Regions
The Naga's range of its natural color scheme is unknown at this time, however its color regions are available. For demonstration, the regions below are colored red over an albino Naga.
This information can be used to alter the Naga's regions by entering cheat SetTargetDinoColor <ColorRegion> <ColorID>
in the cheat console. For instance, cheat SetTargetDinoColor 1 6
would color the Naga's "" magenta.

Abilities
- Can bite its target for 70 base damage. This attack applies Venom! debuff, which increases damaged creature's torpor and causes them to lose 3% health over time.
- Can shoot poisonous projectiles that deals 80 base damage on impact and up to 8 times 80 base damage to targets inside the poison cloud. This attack increases target's torpor by various amounts, usually more than base attack.
- Similarly to Forested E-creatures of Sunken Forest, Naga is immune to status effects applied by Corrupted Creatures (i.a. Corrupted Reaper King's Cocooned debuff, Corrupted Wyvern's Enflamed or Corrupted Dilo's Venom)
- Can generate Cobra Venom in their inventory roughly about every 2 minutes when left on wander.
Combat
General
Naga is arguably the most dangerous of the three "dome" minibosses (other two being File:Mod Fixed Extinction Glacial Drake.png Glacial Drake and File:Mod Fixed Extinction Dune Runner.png Dune Runner ). With abilities mentioned above, Naga makes for a unique mini-boss, which is stronger when fighting on distance and has a real chance to defeat your tames by putting them to sleep and then slowly killing them.
Strategy
A group of high-levelled Dire Bears with good saddles are bare minimum to take out a Naga. Still, more powerful tames, likes of Rex are much more advised for this encounter.
Rock Drakes and Giganotosauruses can be used to fight Naga, as their torpor drains are among the quickest in the entire game.
Thylacoleo having a fast torpor drain and ability to inflict bleed seems like a direct counter to Naga's dangerous trait, consider it or any other health draining creature to deal with this miniboss quickly.
Weaponry
High level Nagas will soak huge amounts of bullets, so fighting with tames instead is recommended. The least one can bring is a good Pump-Action Shotgun.
Dangers
Naga's massive health pool and torpor-inflicting abilities can render your tames unconscious if the fight goes on for too long.
Weakness
Nagas won't come after bigger predators and even when aggroed, can be pretty easily outrun. Additionally its damage is not enough to defeat mid to late game tames if a group is fighting it.
Taming
In order to come into possession of a tamed Naga, one has to obtain a Fertilized Naga Egg consumable and eat it This will spawn a normal fertilized Naga egg, which then can be hatched. Said consumable has 3% chance to drop from Naga.
Utility
- Tank - While lacking any natural armor and/or a saddle, Naga's health levelling allows the mini-boss to have more health than most of ARK's creatures with just a few wild points, which makes it a perfect tank for creatures that do not inflict bleeding.
- Taming aid - Naga's venom generation and torpor-inducing attacks combined with its tank capabilities can help out with knocking out aggressive creatures.
Spotlight
Notes/Trivia
- If shot with a Net Projectile, Naga will wander aimlessly instead of staying in one place.
