Scrap Metal is a resource in  ARK: Survival Evolved.

Gathering

Scrap Metal can be obtained by harvesting dead  Defense Units,  Enforcers and Tek Creatures; And can be obtained from Tables, Benches or Lampposts in the Sanctuary, or from the barrels of Fjordur around the beaches. It can be used in the same way as  Metal would be used. It is harvested most effectively using a  Metal Pick. It might be more profitable to have a cage with two of any Tek Creature and have them breed, then kill the baby and harvest the metal. the Tek Creature of choice would likely be two Tek Parasaurs.

Usage

Refining Scrap Metal in a Forge, will create  Scrap Metal Ingot .

• 286.104: The refinement to  Scrap Metal Ingot is working. Recraft the forge if its not functional
• Scrap metal refines on a 1 to 1 basis vs metals 2 to 1
• Unlike Metal, Scrap Metal's weight cannot be reduced by Argentavis.
