Super Structures Ascended is a building & quality of life mod for  ARK: Survival Ascended in development by Legendarsreign. Currently the mod features a Resource Pulling System and Utility Tools. The mod will eventually contain core building improvements and numerous quality of life structures.

Current Features

Integrated Resource Pulling

This tool adds 3 additional buttons and one number input box to the UI of everything with an inventory. It is very useful for moving large quantities of items around i.e. grabbing metal from an Anklyo into an Industrial Forge.
These tools will only grab resources from boxes, creatures, and crafting stations that are not in use.

When using the "Pull" button, nearby Tek Dedicated Storages are always prioritized for pulling first.

Icon Purpose
Mod Super Structures Ascended Resource Pulling Repair Button.png The Repair button grabs the needed resources to repair the selected item.
Mod Super Structures Ascended Resource Pulling Craft Button.png The Craft button and input box grabs the needed resources to craft the number of the selected engram, blueprint, or tool/weapon that uses ammo. The input box must contain a number, highlight and overwrite the 1 to get numbers less than 10. If selecting this box using the virtual cursor with a controller, it will pull up a keypad instead.
Mod Super Structures Ascended Resource Pulling Pull Button.png The Pull button can only be used after selecting an item or engram. It pulls up a UI that lists all resources that can be pulled to this inventory. Selecting a resource displays anything nearby that contains said resource. Choose how much you would like, click pull, then click done once you have what you need.
Mod Super Structures Ascended Radial Settings Button.png The Tool Radial Settings button (in the top left) will open the Tool Radial Settings menu. This is a way to access the settings in the event that you cannot remember your keybinding.

Additional Information

  • By default, there is a 1 second cooldown on Resource Pulling.
  • Resource pulling respects "Tribe Activation Rank"
  • You can add an * to a structure or dino name to prevent pulling from it
  • Structures cannot be pulled from while they are crafting

It should be emphasized that this is just the default. Server owners can configure what items appear in this list (they can add or remove items via INI options).

Integrated Utility Tools

Mod Super Structures Ascended Tool Radial Menu.png All tools/guns are integrated into the Radial Menu that players have access too at all times except for the  SSA Personal Teleporter

The items are given for free, are slottable in your hotbar and can be discarded (destroyed) but not dropped. Items equipped to your hotbar are not removed when you switch tools.

  • On keyboard, Press and hold "N" (default key) to bring up the radial menu, hover your mouse over the option you want and release "N" to equip.
  • On controller, double tap and hold left bumper to keep the radial menu open, move your left joystick around the menu to select, release left bumper to equip.
  • When loading the Tool Radial Wheel, there is a half second delay before it will appear. During this time, you can release key (or controller button) to quick toggle the last tool you had equipped.

  • From the radial menu you can select an item or Radial Menu Settings. This option will bring up a menu to alter your keybinding on keyboard (cannot be adjusted for controller). This setting should be remembered between servers.
  • You can disable the controller double tap from working.
  • You can disable the buff icon from appearing using these settings.
  • You can also disable the outline that some tools use to highlight dinos or structures.

Localization

This mod has limited support for additional languages including German, French, Russian, Czech, Spanish, Italian, Simplified Chinese, & Dutch.

Structures or Tools that don't exist in SSA but did in  ARK: Survival Evolved S+ mod will be evaluated after this release schedule is completed for possible inclusion.

Config Settings

Place these INI options at the bottom of your gameusersettings.ini (For servers, it has to be on the server) 
You must include the [SuperStructures] header.
You only need to include this if you wish to override the defaults, and you only need to include entries that are different.

Pulling

PullResourceRemovals This allows you to remove items from the default resource pull list. Like the above config option, it is a comma separated list of everything between the ' of the spawn code for that item. This list also affects the  SSA Inventory Assistant resource list.

RadialToolBlacklist Allows you to disable some or all of the tools in the radial menu. This is a comma separated list.

This would remove the Euthanasia Gun, the Repair Gun, and the Transfer Gun from the Tool Radial Menu in-game. It also removes the equipment from their inventories if they already possess it.

TransferToolStructureBlacklist This allows you to prevent any structure you wish from showing up on the Transfer Tool. It is a comma separated list of the structure classes (Every structure usually has a "PrimalItemStructure_" file, an "EngramEntry_" file, and then the class itself)
  • Engram Entry: /Game/PrimalEarth/CoreBlueprints/Engrams/EngramEntry_StorageBox_Small
  • Primal Item: /Game/PrimalEarth/CoreBlueprints/Items/Structures/Misc/PrimalItemStructure_StorageBox_Small
  • Structure Class: /Game/PrimalEarth/Structures/StorageBox_Small

If this option is used, the 'All Structures' option will not appear on the Transfer Tool.

Example: TransferToolStructureBlacklist=/Game/PrimalEarth/Structures/StorageBox_Small.StorageBox_Small

This would prevent the Small Storage Box from displaying on the Transfer Tool.

3rd Party Mod Integration

  • PreventPulling - add this tag if you want your structure to be exempt from the resource pull system.
  • PreventPickup - add this tag to your structure to prevent the Demo gun from picking it up.
  • PreventDemolish - add this tag to your structure to prevent the Demo gun from demolishing it.
