This mod adds a completely new, custom creature to the ARKs- an aquatic Wyvern inspired by the real-life blue glaucus sea slug. The Glaucus has a variety of electrical attacks, and is able to move about on land, albeit becoming weakened without water to keep itself from drying out. It has an Alpha variant, which, when killed, drops saddles at quality, as well as the Chibi-Glaucus. They must be submerged to mate, and like other Draconis species, they require a special food until they fully mature- baby Glaucus will only eat Bio Toxin.
1 Tame can be acquired via egg steal like other Wyverns 3 Must be submerged and have idle flipping disabled, both parents lay an egg.
Appearance
The Draconis Glaucus is a large, aquatic creature with a long snout and rounded head, with large eye ridges and a swept-back crown of curved horns, lying level with its forehead. The colouring of the horns and eye ridges form a stripe down either side of the snout, running down the body and joining at the tip of the tail. Rather than traditional limbs, the Glaucus has curved flippers- large on the front and smaller on the back, each trailing with a multitude of vibrant cerata. Smaller cerata line the back behind the shoulders and hips, and form a fan toward the end of the tail. Along each one, a row of bright, pulsing spots glows, trailing onto the flippers. Jagged stripes decorate the forward edge of each flipper, as well as the sides and belly of the Glaucus. They can be found primarily in shades of blue, green and white, with a rare highlight of pale purple.

Behavior
The graceful Draconis Glaucus spend most of their time floating peacefully upside-down while drifting on the surface of the ocean, surrounded by a group of Cnidaria. Only after being fed will their attitudes change, becoming hostile and attacking survivors. While extremely swift and mobile in the water, the Glaucus struggle on land, gradually becoming too dried out to use their electric attacks, becoming much slower, and more susceptible to incoming damage. They will consume Bio Toxin to refill their Charge meter, requiring 2 stacks for full charge. When tame, if they have been idle for long enough, they will flip themselves over and float to the surface (can be disabled via radial wheel).
Abilities
In addition to its active attacks, the Glaucus has a passive stun on enemies that attack it with melee, as long as it is not dried out and the Charge meter is at least 1/3 full. All stuns on the Glaucus scale with drag weight of the target, being less effective the higher the weight is.
A powerful AoE attack that stuns nearby creatures around the Glaucus.
Must be swimming in order to be used.
Completely depletes Charge after usage.
Usage relies on the Charge meter being at least 90% full, which must be recharged by consuming Bio Toxin or Cnidaria corpses.
Can be used every 300s by both a rider and the AI.

Combat
If attacked in the water, the Glaucus should be treated with caution. With the variety of stun attacks they posess, creatures with resistances to stuns or high drag weights are ideal. Due to the stun inflicted when meleeing the Glaucus, ranged weaponry such as a Crossbow is also a good idea, to avoid becoming trapped in a difficult situation. If inland where it cannot keep itself from drying out, they are less of a threat, losing all of their electric and stunning abilities, and taking increased damage. High torpidity tames are still advised, however, due to their torpor inducing bite.
For general information about domesticating a wild creature, see:Taming
To tame a Glaucus, it must first have 10 Cnidaria corpses dragged and fed to it. Cnidaria from the File:Mod No Untameables.pngNo Untameables mod are also accepted. It must be upside-down in order to eat- if it's facing right way up, leave and reenter the area. Once all Cnidaria have been fed, the Glaucus will have reached maximum charge, where it will proceed to attack the survivor and must be fought. After defeating it, the Glaucus will drop an egg, before fleeing.
Utility
Endgame Aquatic Mount: The Glaucus is an all-round powerful mount with impressive defensive capabilities, being more than capable of defending itself from the creatures of the ocean on the rare occasions when a fight is engaged- most creatures will simply ignore them. Additionally, their speed and maneuverability is impressive, especially within the realm of aquatic mounts which typically struggle with motions such as turning.
INI Configs
All options must be placed under the [Glaucus] header in GameUserSettings.ini. For general configuration information such as how to access the INI files, visit the Game Configuration page.
Listed are the default values
GlaucusTamedBaseHealthMultiplier=1.0
GlaucusBreathDamageMultiplier=1.0
GlaucusSpeedMultiplier=1.0
WildVenomChargeToAddPerJellyMultiplier=1.0 Affects the amount of Cnidaria required to reach max charge and challenge the player for taming - setting this to 2.0 for example would make it require 5 Cnidaria.
Notes/Trivia
Through a radial wheel option, they can be set to automatically consume Bio Toxin when below 95% charge
Like Wyverns, Glaucus have a higher maximum wild level (190 on official settings)
3 Must be submerged and have idle flipping disabled, both parents lay an egg.
