Absorbent Substrate is a resource in ARK: Survival Evolved. It is currently only used to craft the  Gas Mask and  Night Vision Goggles

Obtaining

• Since this can only be crafted in the  Chemistry Bench the cost is always multiplied by 4 and the output by 6. You need at least 8 ×  Black Pearl, 8 ×  Sap and 8 ×  Oil and you will receive 6 Absorbent Substrate. You can also find it in supply crates.
• Absorbent Substrate can drop from killing  Tusoteuthis.
• Absorbent Substrate can drop as rare loot when catching fish with a  Fishing Rod. This way, it can be obtained without having to hunt for  Black Pearls. Lastly, It can also be found in the poison trees in the Bog on the Genesis: Part 1.
