MutagenThe Mutagel is a resource in the Genesis: Part 2 DLC. It can be gathered and crafted into a Mutagen, or used to tame 
Tek Stryders.
Gathering
Mutagel can be harvested alongside 
Ambergris on ambergris asteroids (signified by white supply drops in the rings) and occasionally gathered with 
Black Pearl on black pearl asteroids in the space area (signified by orange supply drops in the rings) on Genesis: Part 2. Mutagel nodes can be harvested by hand, similar to stones, at the bottom of the acid pool underneath Rockwell's heart in the Innards biome when the acid recedes.
Alternatively, one may turn 4 Mutagen back into 408 Mutagel at a 
Chemistry Bench.

Notes
- The most effective way to gather mutagel from Ambergris Planet is using a Metal Pick-armed Mantis with all levels put into damage. It may gather up to 80 per rock. The best way to collect Mutagel from Pearl Planet is via a Mining Drill but if you don't have acces to them a Whip is effective too.
- The Mutagel nodes in the acid pool underneath Rockwells Heart will yield 1 Mutagel each if collected by Hands or by a Whip. Using a Mining Drill doubles the yield, Tek Stryders Excavation Rig triples it.
- There are generally 101 Mutagel nodes in the acid pool at a time.
