Shell Fragment is a resource introduced in Genesis: Part 1 and also available on Lost Island. It can be obtained from a Megachelon.

Usage

Shell fragments may be used to craft chitin in the  Industrial Grinder. One shell fragments may be grinded into 50 chitin.

Crafting

Shell Fragments can be used to craft the following items:

•  Chitin
•  Megachelon Platform Saddle
•  Wood Ocean Platform

Anything being crafted with Chitin/Keratin/Shell Fragments in a Tek Replicator will result in the Shell Fragments being used first over the other materials.

Shell Fragments can also be used as an alternative to  Keratin to craft the following items:
