Basic Info
Dossier
Sivatherium silvadominus
TimeLate Miocene
DietHerbivore
TemperamentProud
- Wild
Sivatherium silvadominus rarely strays outside its forest domain where it watches over the inhabitants. Curiously, the creatures of the forest will fight to protect Sivatherium despite the favour rarely being returned. Able to carefully weigh the cost of battle and understand what is needed to help turn the tide, Sivatherium will only join the fight when it must.
- Domesticated
Once impressed by a survivor who can prove themselves resourceful and strong, Sivatherium will lend its agility, stamina and speed, making it an excellent mount for travelling. Whilst Sivatherium may not fight for the wild creatures who share its domain, it understands them well. Take Sivatherium with you to find your next taming target, and it will give you valuable knowledge to help build your kingdom together.
Behavior
The Sivatherium is a neutral creature that attracts and travels with a herd of creatures. Owing to its size, Sivatherium travels undisturbed by smaller carnivores, remaining passive until it is attacked by larger threats. When the Sivatherium is attacked, its herd will help the Sivatherium defeat the threat that they could never overcome alone. However, if one of the herd members are attacked, the Sivatherium will overlook the onslaught and offer no assistance in return.
The creatures seen in Sivatherium herds include Archaeopteryx, Gigantopithecus, Chalicotherium, Dimorphodon, Dire Bear, Megatherium, Pegomastax, Purlovia, Troodon, Jerboa and Vulture. The Sivatherium primarily uses its ossicones, which resemble antlers, to defend itself, but it is also known to make use of a heavy rear kick that can inflict a slow debuff to its unlucky targets.
Sivatherium can be found roaming the Redwoods on the Island and the Badlands of Scorched Earth.
Appearance
One of the largest ruminants of all time, the Sivatherium is a relative of the Giraffe and Okapi, more closely resembling the latter. It is a sturdy creature with two pairs of ossicones, one pair above its eyes and a larger pair above its ears. These ossicones are superficially similar to the antlers of a Megaloceros, but are permanent structures formed from hardened cartilage and are covered in skin and fur.

Passive
When mounted, the Sivatherium will detect max-level creatures within a 10 m radius. When a max-level creature is nearby, Sivatherium will grunt and the rider will receive a Wild Detect icon. Unlike Charge Pets, Sivatherium does not detect nearby enemy players or dead max-level creatures.
Taming
The taming method for a Sivatherium resembles that of a Basilosaurus. Sivatherium is a passive tame that, in order of preference, accepts Sweet Vegetable Cake, Vegetables and Berries. When fed, Sivatherium will bellow, signalling the creatures in its herd to become aggressive towards the player like they do when Sivatherium is attacked. If necessary, these creatures should be killed. However, the player must not harm the Sivatherium or taming progress will reset. The herd will not harm the Sivatherium.
When members of the herd are killed, Sivatherium can recruit new creatures if there are suitable creatures nearby. A Survivor may wish to consider killing the herd and potential new recruits before attempting to feed a Sivatherium, lest they become overwhelmed.
Loot Crates
Sivatherium saddles can be found in red supply crates, red cave loot crates, red swamp cave loot crates, and blue, yellow and red underwater cave loot crates.
INI Configs
The dino info UI during the Sivatherium Sight ability can be toggled in the GameUserSettings.ini:
