The Pond Skater is a fascinating specimen - there's simply no way that something so huge should be capable of walking across the surface of water! And what's worse is that I've seen survivors who deem them suitable for use as mounts! And it works!
The Pond Skater is one of the few giant insects on the Island that are not naturally aggressive, but they are wholly capable and willing to defend themselves. While not as capable as the Mantis, the Pond Skater's forelimbs have adapted into scythe-like appendages.

- Usage
Melee - The Pond Skater swipes with its scythes.- [W] Movement - Capable of moving forward. Turns using facing direction, with the same turning circle as the Scorpion.
- [C] Dance - The Pond Skater performs a short dance routine. Similar to the Roar of many creatures, this is purely cosmetic.
- Can walk, sprint and jump on the waters surface as if it were ground.
- Does not draw aggro from aquatic creatures, similar to the Wooden Raft.
- Fishing Rods are included in the permitted mounted weaponry, allowing the Pond Skater to be used as a mobile fishing platform.
