Tamed using a Fishing Rod with a fire newt as the bait while you have an empty cryopod or fishing basket in your inventory. I expect modders will make Soul Pods able to catch them, too.
I thought to have taming them be optional - e.g. if you have an empty container, you will automatically use the container to trap the fish. Otherwise, you will get loot from the fishing drop table. This could retroactively be applied to all fish.
