Mobile:Dungeons
This article is about content exclusively available in the version on Mobile. |
The Dungeons are a feature in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Overview
Dungeons are the biggest challenge in the Mobile version of the game. Available to survivors who are Level 40 or higher, Dungeons can be accessed from any Obelisk or TEK Teleporter through the Dungeon Access Key. Survivors must traverse these Dungeons on foot, and each room holds different challenges (such as swarms of creatures or a lava parkour). Upon entry, survivors are tasked with collecting as much loot as possible and finding the Boss Teleporter before the timer of 30 minutes runs out. Extra time can be obtained by opening chests (+1 minute) and clearing rooms with creatures (+5 minutes). Many obstacles will be encountered along the way, including traps and Eerie Creatures. Each Dungeon contains water sources. Only those who defeat the Boss or tame Noctis within the time will be able to take their loot and collected Eerie Implants back to The Island for use.
All survivors are granted one free entry per day, with subsequent entries costing an increasing amount of Ancient Amber. Moreover, Primal Pass holders will be granted an extra entry. Each Tuesday at 12:00 PM EST will provide survivors with a new challenge, however in Single Player, survivors will have the option to select Dungeons from the previous two weeks, though the entry cost will be increased, 5 Ancient Amber for the previous week and 20 Ancient Amber for the Dungeons.

Dangers
Traps
In dungeons, players must go through many different traps. All traps kill instantly(Includes the wandering creatures found throughout the halls)
- Swinging axe trap: Wait on the side (for example the left) before the axe goes from your side to the second side (from left to right). This trap is relatively easy. You can also rush this part if your speed is high enough and soar through the trap entirely. (Only in normal dungeons)
In Ice Dungeons these traps become brutal as spikes come in from the roof usually parallel to the axe's swinging pattern. They are also INCREDIBLY lethal as they pierce through all forms of armor. Avoid these traps at all costs unless it's a Premium, Featured, or Facility Key chest. If this happens, SAVE your game before crossing the trap and on the way back after collecting the chest as you will die repeatedly, but you'll move on. Swamp Dungeons have a sticky trap in them which halves your speed and prevents jumping. Unlike its, frigid counterpart, these axe traps are MUCH more forgiving and it doesn't pierce through armor. Other than that, they behave like normal axe traps found in regular dungeons.
- Moving wall trap: This one varies based on the type of Dungeon. If it's a regular dungeon then it's pattern is simple: One slam, then two to three, and finally one last slam before finally letting you pass. Keep in mind that the queue for passing the wall trap deceives you into thinking the wall will close again. Don't be tricked by this queue or alternatively save your game BEFORE crossing to learn more about the pattern.
The Ice Dungeon has the same pattern as the regular dungeon, but with a twist after it gives you "Queue" to cross, the game will actually trick you and slam almost instantly. This one is MUCH harder to learn and could take several backup saves to master.
Swamp Dungeons have three variants of the Wall Trap. The first one is half-closed and will slowly close in before instantly slamming the wall. The second is similar to the half-closed one, but instead it starts fully open instead of being half-closed. The third one being a wall that repeatedly slams until letting cross. (NOTE: ALL three dungeon types have a slow wall and the way to identify it is after the slam it takes years for another slam to be heard).
- Jungle trap: Based on the lava trap in normal dungeons, however there are two checkerboard paths which periodically phase in and out. Standing on a glowing platform as it phases out will result in death with the game saying "You fell into a pit of darkness".
- Lava trap: Unlike its elemental counterpart, The Ice Trap, two platforms will appear in between three larger ones that move around or sink into the lava. Falling in the lava results in death. (No suprise there) The game also says "You were burned alive"
- Ice Trap: Like the Lava Trap in every aspect apart from the drop in temperature and the lava replaced by ice spikes other than that, it's almost the same instead both platforms move left and right then down and up.
The game also says one of the following after falling: "You are now swiss cheese" or "Impaled, cold, dead"
- All three Traps have a sudden spike or drop in temperature which can fatal if you stay for too long. Be quick, and don't linger in there.
- The Aerial Symbiote can be used to float over all the traps which makes the dungeon overall easier.

Inactive Dungeons
Blitz Week
During Blitz Week, each day of the week will feature one of seven previous Dungeons in between each Blitz Week. However, unlike the normal Dungeon week, the Dungeon timer is reduced to 15 minutes, a Noctis encounter will be twice as likely, Eerie Equus have a chance to be seen roaming the halls of any of the Dungeons, and the Eery Element yield from each Boss is doubled to 20 × Eery Element in multiplayer and 40 × Eery Element in singleplayer.
These Blitz Dungeons will retain all enemies, loot, and TEK Blueprints found in their normal counterparts. Some of the TEK Blueprints may be found at higher qualities, but will drop at a low rate.
