Basic Info

Patient Note

This dossier section is intended to be an exact copy of what Dr. Sophia, the author of the Patient Notes has written. There may be some discrepancies between this text and the in-game creatures.

Pre-exposure

Typically harmless from a distance, the subject travels in small groups for the sake of protection, and does not typically show aggression unless provoked except for when in contact with human beings. The subject will specifically track down and target humans that enter its waters rather than being content to float at their leisure.

Post-exposure

This is the strongest reaction to the Element that has been observed thus far. The subject has entirely adapted the miraculous glowing to affect its entire body and appears far more transparent. While the tentacles of the subject are much shorter than that of its species, the body is significantly larger. Additionally, when significantly injured the subject will divide into two of itself, and each of these will divide when threatened as well - this appears to occur exponentially until such a time as the subject becomes too weak to continue.

~ Dr. Sophia

Behavior

Upon entering the Arena, the Cubozoa Multis will passively wander around until provoked, at which point it will aggressively chase down the survivor. When the Cubozoa Multis receives enough damage, it will split in two, a process that will repeat until the Cubozoa Multis reach their smallest form.

Appearance

Color Scheme and Regions

The Cubozoa Multis always spawns with the same color scheme and has no color regions.

This means it is currently impossible to make alterations to the Cubozoa Multis's colors.

Combat

This section describes how to fight against the Cubozoa Multis.

General

Before entering the Arena, the survivor should make sure to have full  Food as the underwater Arena prevents eating.

The Cubozoa Multis will chase the survivor until it takes enough damage, at which it will split into two, weaker versions of itself. As the battle progresses, the Cubozoa Multis will repeatedly split, and become easier to kill.

Strategy

After the largest Cubozoa Multis splits, focusing on one Cubozoa Multis at a time will ensure that the survivor won't be overwhelmed by an angry swarm of them. Getting caught in a swarm will allow the survivor to attack with a  Sword.

Weaponry

A  Compound Bow (which can be used underwater) is recommended for the fight, as most ranged Weaponry will not work underwater. 1-2 ×  TEK Rifle can also make short work of the Cubozoa Multis.  SCUBA Armor is not needed as the survivor will not drown while in the Arena, but  SCUBA Flippers or  Frog Feet make it easier to outswim the Cubozoa Multis. If you are feeling risky you can bring a  Pike and pike down the small versions as they are much easier to deal with.

Dangers

The Cubozoa Multis's attack will stun the survivor as well as inflict  Torpor, which can prove fatal due to the inability to consume  Stimulant during the fight.

Weakness

The survivor is able to outswim the Cubozoa Multis, providing many opportunities to inflict damage on the Boss and good Armor will allow the survivor to tank much of the damage.
