Gather 'round the campfire, Survivors! Everyone has a story about the first Bob they encountered on an ARK… Now the legendary ARK veteran Bob -- voiced by Karl Urban -- is ready to share his own incredibly true adventures with you for the first time! Nothing can prepare you for the wonder, hijinks, and sheer two-fisted action of Bob's Tall Tales expansion pass!
ARK: Bob's Tall Tales serves as a season pass-like DLC, in which it acts as a bundled package for multiple smaller DLCs; however, at the current time of this writing, the only bundle released is the Frontier Adventure Pack. Owners of Bob's Tall Tales will receive the future packs for free, and it is unknown if the individual packs will be sold separately in the future.
Owners of the DLC will gain access to various Skins, new Structures and Items, and new Creatures. Players who don't own Bob's Tall Tales can still use most items added by the DLC, but they are unable to learn their associated engrams and craft them, tame added creatures, or use certain items. The DLC also adds unique intro "cutscenes" for The Island and Scorched Earth, depicting Bob (voiced by Karl Urban[1]) telling stories of his adventures to his nephew Meeka (voiced by Auli'i Cravalho[2]) in a drawn crayon artstyle.
The DLC consists of three individual packs bundled together, which have a theme corresponding to the map they are tied to, listed below;
Fixed all cases of Treasure Maps prompting the player to purchase ARK: Bob's Tall Tales when they already own it
Fixed an issue with the Shovel's digging animation
Fixed an issue that caused the equipped Shovel to float in the air after dying
Notes
It is currently unknown if there will be more DLC packs similar to Bob's Tall Tales for other maps in the future, such as Genesis Part 1 and 2, or for the free DLC maps such as The Center.
