The S+ Tek Transmitter is an end-game tool in ARK: Survival Evolved. It functions as a portable Obelisk.

Acquiring

Once you acquire the 'Tek Transmitter you are able to unlock the Tekgram for this structure.

Usage

• Now features a Dino Scan via the radial menu that allows you to populate a list with all instances of a creature species, including its level and coordinates.
• There are several "levels" to the S+ Tek Transmitter, depending on how many you have placed.

  6. Remote Coordinates (Via the S+ Omni Tool)
• Boss arenas can now be entered though the transmitter
• Just like with regular Obelisks, you can upload items, characters and creatures and download them on other ARKs.

• It also allows the transfer of water dinos to other ARKS, which could only be done through Deep Sea Loot Crates or an underwater Supply Crate before.

• Any creatures must be rendered at least once before their level can be shown on the scanner. Otherwise, they stay in hibernation which also prevents known their exact location.

• Some creatures spawn in groups, and the scanner will see a group of creatures as one. A group of creatures will have the "xN" suffix, showing how many are there in the group.

• Scanning allows survivors to locate rare creatures without scouting the map, such as Quetzal, Giganotosaurus, and Alpha Predators.

Transmitter Power

Power is a different measure that equals to the sum of Transmitters × Number of Tek Generators powering it. This means using 4 Tek Generators to power 5 Transmitters(vice versa) would reach the highest power level of 20.

If the power level is not sufficient, the function unlock by Transmitter Count may not work on dinos afar.

With sufficient power level, the following function of scan will work on any distances:

• 2 - Allow Scan
• 6 - Rough Lat/Lon Coordinates
• 12 - Map Guidance
• 20 - Show Stats

Notes

• The Tek Transmitter requires Tek Generator to Scan
• Shooting at Tek Transmitter using Tek Rifle cause blood splatters instead default damage particles (like hitting by hand)

• The Structures Plus/S+ Tek Transmitter is treated as a Tek structure and can only be damaged by  Explosives, the  Tek Rifle,  Tek Saddles, an  Arthropluera, a  Titanosaur,  Corrupted Creatures,  Enraged Creatures,  Titans,  Bosses, or the  DodoRex.

• Items transferred through the transmitter can not be accessed from tribe mates
• You can not travel to other servers with boss battle tribute items
  
  The S+ Tek Transmitter is not currently paint-able, however this object may be re-mapped to include paint regions in a future update.

Configuration

DisableTransmitterPlacementOnSaddles Prevents the transmitter from being placeable on saddles (default =false)

TransmitterPickUpPreventionTimeInSeconds If set, prevents the transmitter from being able to be picked up for the specified duration (default =0)

DisableDinoScan Removes the dino scanner function from the S+ Transmitter (default =false)

DisableDinoScanDetails Hides the latitude & longitude data and prevent showing the map (default =false)

DisableDinoScanMap Hides the map when a dino is clicked in the dino scanner (default =false)

DisableDinoScanStats Hides the gender & stat allocation when a dino is clicked in the dino scanner (default =false)

DisableNeedMultipleTransmitter Removes the need for more than 1 power source to gain full access to all scan levels (default =false)

DisableTransmitterBossSummon Removes the boss summon crafts from the S+ Transmitter (default =false)
