The Rex, renamed to Tyrannosaurus, is reworked both visually and mechanically. It features a multitude of new attacks, including directional swipes, stops and headbashes, and has a more lean body and rounded facial structure.
Appearance
The Tyrannosaurus is a large therodpod with a rounded jaw and small, two-fingered arms. A row of orange spikes run down the center of its snout, and each eye has a second crest of three forming an eyebrow, with the orange continuing to form the insides of the spotting pattern on its back. The front of its hind legs are armored by wide plated scutes, with the larger frontal scales fading into smaller sets around the back and inside. Larger feature scales adorn the Tyrannosaurus' back, along with large blotches of greens, greys and blue, with the coloration running down from the snout and head and continuing along the tail. The wider-scaled bellies are found in dusty reds and browns, and their main body features primarily green and brown. On the Paleo variant, only the males bear greens, while the female's main bodies are exclusively brown. Their black or brown patterning is primarily spotted, with thin, chaotic striping running down the front of their legs and top of the tail. The Paleo variant also features feathers running down the length of its spine, crossed by orange, yellow, red or teal striping, and has a bolder striped pattern running from its lower jaw onto the upper lips.

Wild Stats Level-up
Type in values of a wild creature to see on which stats it's emphasized. Green values on a high-level creature are very good for breeding. If you have already tamed your creature you can try to recover the breeding stats with an external tool.[1]
The stat-calculator does not work in the mobile-view, see here for alternatives: Apps
Note that after the creature is tamed it gets bonuses on some stats depending on the taming effectiveness. This makes it hard to retrieve the levels on a tamed creature, so this tool is only for wild ones, but gives a first impression, how well the stats are distributed.

Taming
The Tyrannosaurus cannot be tamed with conventional KO means and must instead be befriended. To initiate taming, drag a corpse of at least 250 drag weight over to a wild Tyrannosaurus, which will approach to eat. It does not matter whether the survivor is holding the corpse when it begins eating, and will not be hostile to the survivor, tames or wild dinos during this time. An icon will appear above it, indicating its current trust. The Tyrannosaurus will begin to wander around, stay nearby and it will eventually roar and toss its head in the air, before beginning to approach again. When it approaches, do not move. It will prompt either for a pet, or for a treat, from one of the following potential items:
The item only needs to be within the survivor's inventory, and does not need to be slotted into the hotbar. If the item it requests is not possessed it will not negatively impact the taming process, and is only to speed up the process of reaching maximum trust. After the trust is maximized, the Tyrannosaurus will allow the survivor to mount it, after which dinos must be killed to complete the taming process. The higher the dragweight of the killed target is, the sooner the taming will be completed.
