They are powerful guardians originating on Norse Island on the Ragnorok DLC, and summon Direwolves to their aid in combat.
Basic Info
Origin/Lore
Although unknown, it's known that the Fenrirs were engineered to be a guardian race until one of the rebellion's enemies go ahold of their genetic blueprint and weaponized them. The Fenrirs have to be defended against for this reason for the sake of survival, and will despawn upon defeat by turning into ash and essentially vaporizing, using the spawn mechanic to reincarnate/respawn and continue their function.
Dossier
The dossier was written by OC Simurha Raghan, based off of his experiences among the ARKs.
"The specimen is an aggressive and persistant guardian who cannot be halted. The beast dates back to Norse myth before they were engineered for the ARKs. They were said to have existed in underground caverns before making their way to the surface. I believe they have experienced some kind of flaw, making their behavior resemble that of power hunger or corruption. It's unexplained, but it is known that they will behave with upmost predatory aggression to other animal life. They will also summon Direwolves with their howl, and that their bite possesses a burning flame. Survivals should take care should they come to contact with the beasts."
Behavior
Fenrirs are aggressive and persistent, and will destroy anyone in their path. They will howl and summon Direwolves to their aid, as well as produce a flame on their target when they bite similarly to Anteosaurus.
Appearence
Fenrirs appear similarly to the Fenris seen in Marvel's Thor Ragnorok. They have thinner proportions however. Despite the size in the profile they grow close to the size of Allosaurus.

Melee Abilities
Bite (Left Click): Deals 95 damage, 20% of flame which deals 159 damage per second over 10 seconds.
Howl (Right Click): Summons ten Direwolves.
Death Animation
Fenrir will howl and looking down, and evaporate using the spawn mechanic.
Strategy
Fenrirs are typically hard hitting and fast, and possess a deadly flame. It's advised to hit them back with powerful mounts like Dawnbreaker and Giganotosaurus.
Trivia
- They are largely based off of Fenris from Thor: Ragnorok.
- Their flame bite is comparable to Anteosaurus from Wild ARK.
- They're the first boss creature in Anthropalyptic Creations, and were made to be basic amongst others.
