  • Every harvestable resource (excluding farms) in the game can have at least two things harvested from it, primary resource is harvested with a pick ( Stone Pick,  Metal Pick) while the secondary resource can be harvested with a hatchet ( Stone Hatchet,  Metal Hatchet)
    • Dead dinosaurs can be harvested for  Raw Meat with a pick and  Hide with a hatchet
    • Regular rocks can be harvested for  Flint with a pick and  Stone with a hatchet
  • Because a red  Obelisk is located on a peak of the mountain - you can find plenty of  Metal,  Crystal and  Obsidian around it (unless other players already harvested all of it!).  Pteranodon is a good way of reaching it if you need only a smaller amount of any of these resources, otherwise  Argentavis might be better.
  • If you need a lot of  Metal Ingots, but have a limited load capacity (eg. because you're using a  Pteranodon to reach the mountain peak) it might be worth crafting  Refining Forge (Weight: 4.0) and keeping it in your inventory along with some  Sparkpowder (it's much lighter than  Wood) for the of trip to the location, then deploying it, harvesting metal, smelting it to the  Metal Ingot.
