Talk:Cooking Pot

Seems that placing the cooking pot in some locations makes it unable to be lit. The "light fire" button never appears, even after placing wood, thatch or sparkpowder in them. Maybe it has something to do with placing them near masses of water (rivers, sea). More testing needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.203.50.38 (talk • contribs) at 11:42, 9 November, 2105 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

If you can find specifics about what these locations are, it would be information worth noting.

I did some tests in single player mode, and my suspicions were true. You can't lit a cooking pot if it touches a mass of water (sea or river). It's enough for one of its "legs" to touch water for this to happen. And the same happens for campfires, refining forges and industrial grills. No part of them should touch water. For standing torches, only the "head" must not touch water. 81.203.50.38 09:58, 10 November 2015 (UTC)

When burning fuel and cooking a recipe, if fuel burn and recipe complete at the same time, the fuel burn is carried out first, prevent the recipe from completing if there is no more fuel to burn. Eg, making kibble (30s each) with 1 sparkpowder (1 minute burn) one would assume the recipe would complete twice. Instead the cooking pot is extinguished just before the second kibble is produced.
