When you changed the coordinates, did you use the Ark vanilla GPS or another GPS? The reason I'm asking is because all our coordinates are verified useing the Ark GPS, other gps systems like the Awesome spyglass give different coordinates so we adopted the Ark GPS policy for people that don't have that Mod. There will also be, a future update, where all the map coordinates will change as the map size will, roughly double and the bottom corner will become 99.9, 99.9 or something close. The wiki team aren't altering any coordinates or adding any extra coordinates for the time being as that would just be more to change. The problem is that the wiki displays the point on the map in a different location, and "while it is finished" i guess it's better to present the people with the Most accurate available information, and change it once it's done on the map.
In this case, i don't think it's a problem with the map itself since the missalign is only on the wiki, nothing to do with the game, in the game the coords are correct, i ADDED (i didn't replace) a second point to the map so people could notice, and i just didn't find a way to clarify that the second point was just to represent the location accurately on the map.

I have responded on my page as well. Basically the map does not match the coordinates, it's the only map we've got and I have been asking for a new "proper" map since last year. Any point we enter will show in the wrong place - the trouble with infoboxes is that they take the coordinates given and put that on the map .jpg file If we change the GPS Coordinates then people will go to the coordinates and say they can't find the cave (I know we have already been there and got a lot of flack for it). I removed the alternative coordinates because I did not want to confuse players. The GPS coordinates work and I know that they look wrong on the map but I have to work with what I am given. Hopefully the devs will provide a decent map one day and the coordinates will work. Cheers EezaGeeza (talk) 19:12, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
I think that a note is important, because, even tough i recognize that some people will just follow the gps coordinates, in my case i was motivated to do the change (and again, leave Both points on the map to call for attention) was that a full tribe of 9 people were looking for the cave for like 20 minutes and they were like "there's probably a button" -- "but the wiki shows an open cave" and all of that stuff, at the end of the day a newcomer just came in and found it like, instantly, none of the guys on the big tribe found it because they don't carry gps with them, they are very used to just look at the red dots on the wiki and finding the stuff. So my suggestion for this problem is to leave both coordinates in the page and try to put a note clarifying why are they two points, or, see if there's a way to modify the wiki's code so you can put an optional "realign" parameter to manually move the point in the map regardless of the numbers that are displayed on the page. --Hsilamot (talk) 20:23, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
I've added a second location and a note to the cave, hopefully that will help people find the entrance.EezaGeeza (talk) 08:25, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
