Extinction status effects

How are you going to get the data for the Solar Eclipses and EMP zones for Extinction? I’ve never come across either of these myself; are they triggered by the King Titan because I haven’t fought him yet... Scrubbanubnub (talk) 14:56, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

Honestly not sure but I've noticed usually during the day when the sun is at its highest is when EMP happens in the Wasteland. and Solar Eclipses are decently uncommon/rare on Extinction. 160.3.234.202 14:59, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

So they do happen... Is there a cue for the EMP? I’m past day 100 on my singleplayer save for it and never noticed any anomaly's. Same goes for the eclipses, I’ve never noticed the map get darker, then again, my domes are still broken, so maybe I’m just unlucky. Scrubbanubnub (talk) 15:02, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

The First time an eclipse happens on Extinction is day 80 then its timer restarts. EMP are still a bit of a mystery because of how they work. 160.3.234.202 15:06, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

Oof, looks like I missed mine while playing around with the Mek for the first time, it was a fun day in the Desert Dome... Then I almost got it killed by walking into the Desert Cave, probably why I remember that so well.
While we’re on this topic, how common are the meteor showers? I feel that they’re scripted judging how they’re few and far between. Scrubbanubnub (talk) 15:12, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

I believe Meteor Showers are on a set day timer like Eclipses but I myself don't know the exact day. 160.3.234.202 15:17, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

Ok so while I've been editing the Biomes and Environmental pages I have been playing Extinction and I can confirm that I haven't found any EMP Wave areas so its possible that it was removed. possibly do to them realizing an effect like that was useless cause the Map existed. 160.3.234.202 18:27, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

I wonder

I wonder if the Valguero map makers plan to add the Artifact of the Devious since it would then keep up with only the free originally mod maps having it. Also Valguero is surprisingly small compared to Ragnarok but still surprisingly big. I'm just gonna leave this comment here to see if anyone wants to discuss with me about Valguero since I can't play it yet so I don't seem insane for messaging myself 160.3.234.202 15:16, 25 June 2019 (UTC)

Well now that we have an Island/Scorched Earth/Aberration hybrid map now its only a matter of time before some attempts to make a Island/Scorched Earth/Aberration/Extinction hybrid map. 160.3.234.202 15:27, 25 June 2019 (UTC)

Their is also the "To Do List" from the Workshop page where they were talking about finishing the Aberration cave. However that was supposed to be a the radioactive area with Rock Drakes but Wildcard told them no so that Rock Drakes stay exclusive to Aberration 160.3.234.202 15:36, 25 June 2019 (UTC)

It would be interesting to see Crystal Isles become a free DLC but I feel like it strays to far from the normal Ark to become one. However the makers of Crystal Isles are extremely talented it would be interesting to see what they could do if the purposely tried to make a map that could become a free DLC for Ark in all honesty it wouldn't surprise me if the map was absolutely beautiful and colorful. 160.3.234.202 15:52, 25 June 2019 (UTC)

Well that was unexpected

Whelp Genesis is a thing now apparently. The Lava Lizard looking thing is probably gonna be named Salamander after the Mythological Salamander. The Cute Thing that turns into a monster seems interesting I wonder if we will be able to tame it. Giant Turtle with a Island on its back... hm it may be called Leviathan but it is definitely a reference to the World Turtle or The Giant Turtle from multiple movies like The NeverEnding Story. 160.3.234.202 13:52, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
