Is this pronounced TăP-uh-HāRE-uh?
- Using rather loose phonetics, Tapejara is pronounced as TăP-uh-djāRE-uh.
- According to Wikipedia, Tapejara is "a genus of Brazilian pterosaur," so without getting into the scientific pronunciation of biological latin, one could infer it is pronounced with the same "soft J" sound (dj) used in the Portuguese language.
- For an audio example, this BBC documentary pronounces Tapejara at 1:40.
